Shardly was founded in 2025 to answer an ordinary annoyance. Hosting a Discord bot meant either maintaining a VPS yourself, or paying a platform that charged as though it were running a company's core systems.
Rather than resell capacity, the company bought its own machines and put them in a Falkenstein cabinet. Everything since — the control plane, the file editor, the shard supervisor, weekly billing — follows from that first decision.
