Shardly LLC today launched shardlyhq.xyz, a dedicated corporate site covering the company behind the hosting platform. The platform itself is unchanged, and nothing about the customer relationship moves as a result.
The split follows a year in which the same pages were being asked to serve two very different audiences: somebody with a server to run at two in the morning, and a journalist, partner or regulator trying to work out who operates the machines.
What moved
- Company information, principles and the operating history now live under /company.
- A newsroom and a press room replace the single announcements page, with brand assets and a boilerplate paragraph.
- Responsibility — energy, hardware lifecycle, data protection and security disclosure — is written down in one place.
- Legal pages — imprint, privacy and terms — are served from the corporate domain.
“The platform should be about your server. This site is about who is responsible when that server has a bad night.”
Nothing about billing or the customer relationship changes as a result of the launch.
